What to Expect

"Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain" (Psalm 127:1).

We firmly believe that any attempt at spiritual work apart from the aid of the Holy Spirit is futile. God must be active in our efforts. That's why prayer is so important. Through prayer we humbly acknowledge our dependance upon God and request His enablement. For this reason our Sunday mornings begin at 8:30 with "Upper Room Prayer," an opportunity to pray for the ministry of God's Word during Sunday School and the worship service.

At 9:15 we begin Sunday School. We have classes for every age group. You can learn more about our Sunday School classes here.

At 10:00, Sunday School ends and we enjoy a time of fellowship in the Gathering Hall. Our gifted kitchen staff, led by Steve Gadapee, prepare delicious snacks and refreshments.

At 10:30 our worship service begins. In-line with the commands of Scripture, our worship involves the singing of "psalms, hymns and spiritual songs" (Eph. 5:19), prayer, Scripture reading, and expository preaching.

On the first Sunday of every month we celebrate communion, led by one of the men of the church, followed by a time of corporate praise and prayer. On the last Sunday of every month, we share a fellowship meal after the service.

Attire

The Bible doesn't have much to say regarding what clothing is appropriate for worship. The only instruction we have is that our clothing should be modest (1 Tim. 2:9-10). For this reason we only ask that you be mindful of this one instruction, for we do not wish to cause any brother or sister to stumble by what we wear. Otherwise, what you choose to wear on Sunday is between you and the Lord.
