We're happy to have you!
Whether you are just curious about us, or if you're seriously seeking a "church home,” you are more than welcome at Lyndon Bible Church. Below you can find out what to expect upon your first visit to LBC.
1. When should I arrive?
Our normal Sunday morning worship service begins at 10:30 AM, but we have a fellowship coffee time that begins at 10 AM. So feel free to come early, introduce yourself, and find your way around. Sunday School for adults and children begins at 9:15 AM, but we also have Sunday School and Junior Church for kids during the 10:30 AM worship service. Click here for more details about what we have for kids.
NOTE: June through August our morning worship service begins at 9:30 AM. There is no Sunday School during summer hours.
2. Where am I going?
Lyndon Bible Church is a single level building on Brown Farm Road in Lyndonville, first turn on the right. For directions click here, or click on the map at left. Arriving 10-15 minutes before the service starts will make parking easier, but if the parking lot gets full, just circle around the front of the building.
3. What should I do?
When you arrive, you'll be greeted at the door by a pair of our greeters who will be more than happy to direct you to a refreshing cup of coffee in our fellowship hall or to our sanctuary. As you enter the sanctuary you'll be welcomed by one of our ushers who will offer you a Sunday bulletin and can help you find a seat if you need. If you have children, ask an usher or a greeter where the nursery is and what's available for children during the service. Just remember, we're here to serve you and make your visit to LBC as comfortable as possible, so just let us know how we can help you. We have audio devices for the hearing impaired and space for people in wheelchairs and comfortable seating for those with other physical disabilities.
4. Worship with us!
Our service usually starts with standing and worshipping the Lord in joyful singing. This is followed by welcome and some news and announcements about upcoming activities and ministry opportunities. Afterward there may be a brief stand and greet before our worship service begins. You will not be singled out as a visitor, so don't worry, but join us in praise and worship, Biblical teaching, prayer, and more.
5. Let us help you
If you would like to talk about a personal concern, or discuss something you heard in the service, just let us know. Our ushers or greeters can direct you to the pastor or one of the elders who will be more than willing to listen to you, answer your questions, pray with you, and encourage you. They are always available after the service.
