EDUCATION: Graduated from Champlain Valley Union High School, Hinesburg, VT, 1978, Baptist Bible College, Clarks Summit, PA, with Bachelor of Science in Bible 1982, Dallas Theological Seminary, Dallas Texas, with a ThM in 1988, Ordained to the Gospel Ministry by Metropolitan Bible Church, Dallas Texas, August 6, 1989.
HOW DID YOU BECOME INVOLVED AT LBC? After graduating from seminary we were providentially connected with LBC through a letter we sent out to Dallas Theological Seminary grads in New England. After a faith deepening process of about a year we mutually felt God’s calling to come and minister as pastor of LBC. The vision of the church at that time was to rebuild the church and take it back into the community. As the church was small at the time we worked bi-vocationally for nine years before coming on full time. June 24, 2011 will mark 20 years of ministry for us at LBC. During that time we have grown a lot and also seen God do the most amazing, impossible things as the LBC body has trusted Him to be who He really is.

FAMILY: When I left home to get a one-year Bible degree, I said I’d never marry a minister, but God had different plans for me that were much “bigger” than what I was thinking of for myself at age 17. I met and then married my college sweetheart, Joel Battaglia, in September, 1982. Then God gave me the role I have loved so much…… being a “mom”. We have three children who have blessed us more than we could ever have imagined… They are: Peter Joel, 22; Angela Grace, 19; and David Michael, 17.
EDUCATION: Graduated from Maranatha Christian High School, Columbus, OH, 1979. Associate in Arts from Baptist Bible College, Clarks Summit, PA, 1981.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO READ: I keep quite a “collection” of books on my nightstand and read several “snippets” of several of them in the morning and before going to bed. Currently I am reading “A Grace Disguised," “Finding God," “Ragamuffin Gospel," “My Upmost for His Highest," “Sacred Influence," “Persuasion," “Shakespeare’s Sonnets," and two versions of the Bible. I also have about 15 cooking & decorating magazines next to the books. My favorite authors are: Francine Rivers, Jane Austen, Brennan Manning and Oswald Chambers.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT LBC? Watching how God works “up close” in peoples’ lives.
RANDOM LIFE TRIVIA:
I have terrible stage fright. I wear my pj’s outside to get the newspaper and start the car in the morning. I like to eat cold pizza for breakfast (not everyday, of course, just when we have “cold pizza” on hand). I like to grill in the winter (outside) with my headlamp on. (Grilling in the winter makes me feel like “summer” isn’t too far away… even though it is.)
